Intellectual Property Policy

Our policy guidelines presents basic steps to consider in developing, managing and exploiting artifacts, indigenous knowledge productions, artistic designs, drawings, publications that form part of the Intellectual Property Profile of an enterprise.

 

The Policy further provides  steps to consider to manage product developed by individuals as part of contribution of talents and time for maximization as part of a donation  for commercial purposes.

 

Finally, the policy provides guidelines to  develop and maintain an Intellectual Property Asset base as well as valuation of such to create the balance sheet item as part of Good will.

 

The Policy is presented into five revelations, that present the depth, breadth and scope that define Intellectual Property exploitation.

Revelation regarding Pursuit of the Legal Profession

Upon completing the development of the Further Education and Training Policy Framework of South Africa, she was deployed to redefine the registration of private institutions in South AFRICA. On graduation of the MBL Programme, a revelation for a Doctors Programme in Business Leadership with specific focus on Intellectual Property emerged.

 This revelation led to the research on Intellectual Property which prompted her to enroll for the LLB Programme.  Upon completion of establishment of the unit to register private FET Institutions, she got promoted to lead strategy in the Department of Defence as the first female Director. and majored in Copyright and Design, Security Services Law, Environmental Law, Contract Law, Tax Law, Bills of Exchange, after which she proceeded to Unisa Law School, where she enrolled for the Practical Legal Practice(PLT) and Practical Management Training (PMT). Concurrently she enrolled for the lawyers Board Exam, Conveyancing Programmed and the Notarial Practice Program.

She registered for the Masters Program in Airspace and Communication Program at the University of Pretoria which led to her realization of a dream of a Master’s Programme in Intellectual Property which was blended with Cyberlaw that culminated in a dissertation on Cybersecurity legislation in South Africa wherein comparative analysis of Germany and Russian cybersecurity landscape with implications for the SA cybersecurity landscape.  Concurrently she was invited to join the Extractive Industries Programme in Africa which she enrolled for and finished the course work and finalizing her dissertation.

She got admitted as an advocate at the High Court of Northern Province in 2009, registered for pupillage programme. She is an active member of the Gauteng Society of Advocates.
